What We Learn to Believe
Solo Exhibition
Hammond Gallery, Fitchburg State University, Fitchburg, MA.
October 28 – December 18, 2026
What We Learn to Believe explores how our understanding of the world is shaped by inherited narratives, assumptions, and systems of knowledge. Drawing from disability culture, personal experience, language, religion, and popular media, the exhibition examines how certain ideas become accepted as truth and how those beliefs shape individual and collective experience.
Grounded in the lived experience of a Blind artist, educator, and disability advocate, the work invites viewers to reconsider familiar narratives and reflect on the possibilities that emerge when long-held assumptions are questioned.
Deconstructing Disability: Perspectives + Identities
Curator & Juror
Raizes Gallery, Lesley University, Cambridge, MA.
October 12 – November 15, 2026
Reception: Thursday, October 15, 12 – 2 pm (open to the public)
Deconstructing Disability: Perspectives + Identities centers the voices, experiences, and creative work of disabled members of the Lesley University community. Rather than presenting disability as a singular experience, the exhibition embraces its many forms and expressions, highlighting the diverse ways disabled people create meaning, navigate the world, and contribute to our shared cultural life.
